One in a Million

One million giraffes is the project of Ola Helland, a 25-year-old guy from Stavanger/Norway. He has bet with a friend that he will be able to collect one million giraffes via internet by 2011.

Nice idea I thought, and started painting one.. a brush, a glass of water and the good old watercolors and voilá, here is my contribution.

Good luck, Ola. I keep my fingers crossed for you :)

My first thought as I got the invitation for dropbox was “oh no.. do I really need this..?”. Another account, another application to look for.
But after installing and using it there was no doubt anymore that I need it.

Besides the fact that it’s very useful for file sharing when you have more than one computer – and easy to handle as well – a dropbox folder can also be used for transfering files between different users.

So this was exactly the way how the new «Urban Outfitters» album came to Germany.. simply by drhopping from one box in another.

I love the «Simpsons» and as I met them at the Universal Studios in California I didn’t hesitate to get a photo with them.

I also like the additional characters in the series like e.g. rock stars or politicians.

This week I had a bit of time and so I surfed around on Nerdcore. Thereby I’d found a very special tribute to Michael Jackson.

One click more and I reached the awesome blog of Springfield Punx, a nice collection of simpsonized characters. They look all very cute and I couldn’t decide which of them I add here; so just have a look by yourself.

After 1991 and 1995, I was back in Berlin. It was quite relaxing. Instead of a typical tourist sightseeing program I paid my attention to the urban life. That means simply strolling around, do some people-watching and of course, shopping too. Well, just having a good time!

I liked the ubiquitous streetart. Especially the big paintings from BLU were fascinating. I’ve already read about their art last year and also watched the MUTO video. But actually standing in front of it was different and absolutely impressive.
