St. Thomas’ Church School’s Day
Actually we wanted to visit the St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kolkata. But as we arrived it seemed to be closed. Behind the cathedral was a school festival going on and for a little entrance fee of 5 rupees per person there was no question to go there.
Stalls stood rectangularly around a vivid place. At some of the stalls food was offered, but the majority consisted of tombolas or games. The prices were amazing. You could win a lot of useful things from toothpaste to Pepsi or cleaning agents.
We didn’t join any tombola or any lucky draw. Instead we spent some money for food. A man forced us to have rice with mutton. Well, it didn’t taste too bad, but it was only lukewarm and so most of it found its way to the garbage can. At least it was foor a good cause.
I have put a tiny video on youtube to give you an imagination of the school festival.

Actually I wanted to put some photos in the post, but this internet cafe sucks and I found a strange file on my SD card :/ I’ll add them when I’m back at home and I hope you’ll drop in again :)
