Do you remember the book «Das magische Auge»? It was popular in the 1990′s and I was quite happy because I could see the hidden objects in the pictures.

Lately I stumpled upon a website with optical illusions. Besides of well-known art work from e.g. M. C. Escher there were also images from a japanese professor by the name of Akiyoshi Kitaoka. I was impressed by his work, although there is no hidden object (well.. at least as far as I know).
Here you can see an example; it is amazing how vivid an image can be.
